NBC schedules Anderson for convention coverage

Presidential candidate John Anderson will turn political commentator for the NBC "Today" show's coverage of the Republican National Convention in Detroit July 14-18. Mr. Anderson will appear on both hours of the two-hour morning show (7-9 a.m. Eastern time). Monitor TV critic Arthur Unger says the Anderson segments will be sent via satellite from Bonn, Paris, and London, where Mr. Anderson will be traveling during the convention.
