Autonomy talk session produces disagreement
| Cairo
The first round of renewed talks on Palestinian autonomy ended in disagreement Tuesday, with Israel and Egypt again quarreling publicly on Jerusalem and failing to produce a complete agenda for talks on legal matters. Israeli Justice Minister Shmuel Tamir and Egyptian Foreign Minister Butros Ghali agreed the negotiations must continue and decided to reconvene the legal committee July 27 with a meeting of experts and July 30 at the ministerial level.
