Bringing heat back from high ceilings

Do you have any information about a product calld a Heat Recycler -- a unit with a small electric motor and blower which plugs into a wall outlet in a room. It is made, I believe, by Nautilus Industries. I have an old house with high ceilings and steam-heat radiators. Do you have the address of the company? Vella E. Meisner Barre, Vt.

The Heat Recycler, made by Nautilus Industries, comes disassembled with three sections of tubing, each about 2 1/2 feet long. At the bottom of the unit is a small motor which actually creates a vacuum. The tubing mounts on the wall from the base of the floor to within 4 to 6 inches of the ceiling.

When the machine is plugged into a wall socket, the motor draws the hot air off the top of the ceiling down through the tubing and distributes it alogn the floor.

In normal heat stratification, hot air rises. So what you're doing is pulling the hot air from the top of the room, where you can't use it, to the floor where you can use it.

Each unit is geared to an 8-by-12-foot room and has a suggested retail list price of $39.99 although some discount stores sell it for less.

The color is light beige, a vast improvement over the early units. I'm told that you cannot hear the motor.
