Ethiopia expelled US Ambassador Frederic L. Chapin Tuesday in a new sign of worsening diplomatic relations between the two countries, the State Department said. The 22 other Americans stationed at the Addis Adaba embassy will remain there. Human rights violations by the Ethiopian government and frequent anti-US activities have contributed to the worsening relations.
