Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Due to an editing error, Mayor Bassam Shaka of Nablus, in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, was incorrectly described in an article published July 9 as "a leading activist in the Palestine Liberation Organization." The reference should have said he is a leading West Bank activist with pro-PLO sympathies.
