Removing graffiti on limestone wall

Q. How can we remove spray-painted graffiti from a church wall of Indiana, limestone? Sandblasting is too costly and destructive. Patricia Melville Chicago

A. An expert in the field of cleaning solvents, ProSoCo Inc., 1040 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66104, says to apply a product equal to Sure Klean Heavy Duty Paint Stripper. Follow the labeled instructions, no matter what you use.

Let the stripper work on the stone for at least 24 hours. Rinse thoroughly with hot water.

Then apply a product such as Sure Klean Limestone Restorer at a dillution of 1 part concentrate to 2 parts of water. This will remove any traces of the paint stripper and leave the wall looking the way it should look.
