Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

The military rulers of Surinam have announced the appointment of s six-man committee to draw up a new constitution for the former Dutch colony in South America. They say the people will have a say in the approval of the new constitution. The committee is to make a preliminary draft of the constitution and then hold public hearings.
