Nearly every backyard garden has a few tomato plants, one of the easiest and most popular fruits to grow. In the United States, at least three-fourths of the tomato crop is processed into juice, canned tomatoes, soups, sauces, ketchups, and tomato paste, which reminds us of how many of our favorite dishes contain tomatoes in some form.
