The House Wednesday accepted abortion funding language demanded by the Senate , settling an impasse that temporarily blocked passage of an emergency funding bill needed to keep the wheels of government rolling. The amendment to the stopgap spending bill was approved by voice vote and sent to the President for his signature, averting a shutdown of many government agencies left without money at midnight Tuesday.
