OPEC may delay meeting because of Mideast war

Venezuelan Energy Minister Humberto Calderon Berti says most members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries favor postponement of an extraordinary minister's meeting scheduled next Monday in London. Mr. Calderon, who is the president of OPEC, said his contacts indicated a majority in favor of "prior consultations and waiting until the political picture clears "up" -- an apparent reference to the Iraqi-Iranian war. OPEC has already postponed a finance Minister's meeting because of the Mideast War.
