Rubber-based paints indeed still available

Q I have used many paints in my cellar but none so durable as rubber-based. What company still makes rubber-based paints? Edward W. Verba Campbell, Ohio

A Your local paint store may have a favorite rubber-based paint on its shelves right now. Why don't you check it out?

Two rubber-based paint manufacturers are Sealwall, 36300 Lakeland Blvd., Eastlake, Ohio 44094, and Enterprise Paint Company Inc., 1191 South Wheeling Road, Wheeling, Ill. 60090. The Sealwall phone number is (216) 951-3445 and the Enterprise number, (312) 541-9000.

Some people want a paint that will last forever. Forever is too long a time for most paints to last. Even the unearthly painted colors of sunset are ephemeral, and must be redone now and again.
