UN agrees to set up Cambodia conference

The UN General Assembly decided OCt. 22 to set up a conference on Cambodia, as proposed by the ASEAN nations. The vote of 97 to 23, with 22 abstentions, was a heavy defeat for Vietnam and its allies and an overwhelming endorsement of the noncommunist ASEAN position.
