Singapore blue jeans curb lifted pending US inquiry

The United States is lifting an embargo on blue jeans and other cotton apparel from Singapore pending an investigation of data discrepancies. The US trade representative's office said the countries also agreed to a textile visa system aimed at preventing exporters from fraudulently circumventing bilateral textile agreement.
