Court defers appeal ruling on ousted West Bank pair
| Jerusalem
The Israeli Supreme Court deferred a decision on the appeal of two Palestinian leaders against their expulsion from the occupied West Bank of Jordan. Mayors Fahd al-Qawasme of Hebron and Muhammad Milhem of Halhoul had petitioned the court against their deportation last May for alleged anti-Israeli incitement. They returned two weeks ago to appear before a special military appeals board, which upheld the deportation orders. The Supreme Court is scheduled to meet again Monday.
