Libyan troop convoys are arriving in N'Djamena, the Chad capital, to support President Goukouni Oueddei in the civil war against his rival, former Premier Hissein Habre, a spokesman for Mr. Habre said. But he said he doubted the accuracy of a Libyan news agency report that Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi visited the northern Chad town of Faya-Largeau, because it was "still in our hands."
