Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

A lone hijacker forced a Polish airliner to land at a US military airfield in West Berlin and asked for political asylum in the West. The man, a Polish citizen, was handed over to West Berlin police. The plane, of the Polish airline LOT, was carrying 21 passengers and 4 crew members. It was hijacked on a domestic flight from the Polish city of Zielona Gora to Warsaw.
