Peking to publish writings of Chou
| Peking
China's official newspapers devoted much of their front pages Sunday to the news that the first volume of the selected works of the late Premier Chou En-lai would be published Jan. 1. The People's Daily printed a portrait of Chou in the top right-hand corner of its front page, a space reserved in former years only for quotations from Mao Tse-Tung. Chou's works apparently are to be published in a form similar to Mao's five-volume collection which still has a place of honor is every Chinese bookshop but is seldom bought. The first volume of Chou's works includes a passage in which the warned 30 years ago that Mao should not be turned into a demigod.
