Egypt and Israel agreed on wide-ranging cooperation in the development of agriculture, according to a joint communique issued at the end of a visit to Israel by Egyptian Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Dawoud. Dr. Dawoud and israeli Agriculture Minister Ariel Sharon said their countries would hold joint workshops on subjects such as agricultural research, cooperative organization, arid zone research and development, and agricultural technology. The ministers agreed to convene "at an early date" a joint commission to implement the agreement.
