Iraq says it has stemmed Iran's counteroffensive

Iraq said it repulsed Iran's week-old counteroffensive and warned Iranian leaders against repeating similar "adventures." Field reports spoke of limited fighting in various sectors of the frontier, but no major advances. Unlike the early stages of the Iranian counteroffensive, the two countries reported fewer casualties, and military observers said the co mbat intensity seemed to have subsided.
