Iraq hits Iran oil targets; including Kharg complex

Iraq has warned it can hit Iran where and when it likes after reporting resumed attacks on Iranian oil installations, including Iran's main oil terminal at Kharg Island. Baghdad issued the warning 12 hours before Iraqi President Saddam Hussein told the Islamic summit meeting that Iraq was ready to withdraw from occupied Iranian territory if Tehran recognized what he called Iraq's rights.

Iran confirmed that Iraqi aircraft had attacked Iranian oil installations but said air defenses forced the planes to flee before completing thei r raids.
