Ex-CIA man claims papers on Salvador arms forged

A former member of the US Central Intelligence Agency said key documents used by the State Department to suggest that the Soviet Union organized arms deliveries to guerrillas in El Salvador were forgeries. Philip Agee alleged the CIA faked the papers and arranged for their "discovery" by a visiting American diplomat in San Salvador.

The documents were presented in a State Department "white paper" given to foreig n governments and the press last month.
