Hotel fire in Las Vegas routs scores of guests

Fire broke out Wednesday in a tower at Caesars Palace Hotel, causing minor damage before it was extinguished. Scores of guests and employees were evacuated from the hotel and one fireman was reported to have been hurt.

Fire officials said the blaze was confined to one room, but resulted in smoke and water damage to three floors in the tower atop the hotel and casino. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. The fire was the fourth to erupt at a Las Vegas hotel in the last five months.
