Bolivian ruler says military to stop fighting drug flow

Bolivia's military ruler, Gen. Luis Garcia Meza, was quoted as saying the armed forces would no longer take part in Bolivia's struggle against a booming drug trade. Bolivia is considered one of the world's major cocaine producers, with its main market being the US. Some reports say the drug trade brings in up to $1.6 billion each year, and General Garcia's government has been accused of being involved in the busi ness.
