Montana area designated for disaster assistance

President Reagan delared a major disaster for Montana as a result of severe storms which caused extensive flooding throughout a 10-county area of western Montana last weekend. Disaster assistance centers, expected to be opened with a few days, will centralize programs of federal, state, amd volumteer agencies. Federal aid will include temporary housing for families whose homes are uninhabitable; disaster loans to cover uninsured losses of individuals, families , and businesses; and grants for those with serious needs not only met by other disaster-relief programs.
