The representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Belgium, Naim Khader, was assassinated as he left his home in Brussels. Mr. Khader, a lawyer with a degree from Brussels University, headed the PLO office in Belgium since its creation in 1976. He represented the PLO with the Europea n Community as well as Belgium.
