If you are fond of bicycling, you might like to tour Denmark on bicycle this summer. The routes have been mapped and checked by knowledgeable local cyclists , who have made sure that you follow small roads with only slight traffic. These roads usually go through the most scenic landscape in the country.

Dansk Cykelserie tours are arranged in advance, with accommodations booked, meal reservations made, and routes drawn on a map. Bicycles can be rented, with luggage carrier, two bicycle bags, and basket included.

The tours are not group arrangements. You can start on whatever day you wish. The maximum length of any day's trip is about 40 miles -- the equivalent of 5 or 6 hours of leisurely riding. For more information, write to Dansk Cykelferie, c/o Fyntour Aps , Mollergade 20, DK-5700 Svendborg, Denmark.

Why is Christian Science in our name?

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

The Church publishes the Monitor because it sees good journalism as vital to progress in the world. Since 1908, we’ve aimed “to injure no man, but to bless all mankind,” as our founder, Mary Baker Eddy, put it.

Here, you’ll find award-winning journalism not driven by commercial influences – a news organization that takes seriously its mission to uplift the world by seeking solutions and finding reasons for credible hope.
