El Salvador says heavy aid needed from the West

President Jose Napoleon Duarte estimates El Salvador will need at least $400 million in economic aid and loans and "some military equipment" for each of the next three years to solve its economic and military crisis. He has called for assistance not only from the United States but from other West ern countries.
