New baseball strike talks anticipated in New York

A federal mediator asked representatives of striking major league baseball players and club owners to return to the bargaining table today (June 16). The talks broke off give days ago when the players began their walkout. Don Fehr, a lawyer for the Players Association, and Ray Grebey, chief negotiator for the owners, said they were ready to bargain at an y time.
