Polisario guerrillas claim heavy toll of Moroccans

Hundreds of Moroccan soldiers were killed or wounded in a daylong attack on the locality of Lemseyed in south Morocco over the weekend, the Polisario Front said in a communique. The Polisario Front, backed by Libya and Algeria, is fighting Moroccan troops for independence in the Western Sahara, f ormerly a Spanish Colony but now administered by Morocco.
