Evert Lloyd vs. Mandlikova in Wimbledon tennis finals

Two-time champion Chris Evert Lloyd trounced fellow American Pam Shriver, 6-3 , 6-1, to reach her fourth consecutive Wimbledon Championship final, where she meets the second-seeded Czechoslovak, Hana Mandlikova. Mandlikova, who has won the Australian and French Opens, ended Martina Navratilova's dream of winning Wimbledon for the third time in four years by beating the US-based Czech exile, 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, in the fi rst of the Center Court semifinal clashes.
