Massachusetts employees back on job after walkout

Striking state employees were back on the job Tuesday after a four-day walkout. Leaders of Massachusetts' public employee unions issued a back-to-work order after Gov. Edward J. King signed into law emergency legislation providing two weeks of back wages for the workers, who had gone unpaid since the fiscal year began July 1.
