Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

An article in the Monitor's Aug. 25 issue entitled "Begin and Sadat to revive Palestinian 'autonomy' issue" referred to the autonomy talks as having begun 15 months ago. In fact, the talks started on May 25, 1979, and came to a halt 15 months ago. The Monitor regrets this editing error.
