I wouldn't want to live nowhere else but on the mountain. I've never seen the ocean, and I don't want to. Galax and Sparta and Elkin -- that's as far as I go. I like to get out in the dirt and dig and then plant something and gather it in and cook it or can it and store it away for winter. I'm natured like my mama, hard-working. That was the way I was growed up, children.
Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
