Israel has no quarrel on AWACS in Egypt

Israel, which opposes the supply of AWACS radar planes to Saudi Arabia, said it had no objection to the temporary use ot the aircraft in Egypt. Two of the US radar reconnaissance aircraft arrived in Egypt Thursday and went staight on patrol without landing after flying from the United States.

An Israeli government official said: "WE have no objection to the use of the AWACS in Egypt because they are to be operated by American crews, remain in American ownership and we understand will only remain there for a limited time."
