Controller union delisted by US as bargaining agent

The striking Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization was decertified Thursday by the Federal Labor Relations Authority as bargaining agent for government air controllers.

The Reagan administration sought the action as punishment against the union for calling the illegal walkout of 11,500 union members Aug. 3. The decision can be appealed directly to a federal appellate court.
