Polish party is meeting on shift in structure

The Polish Communist Party's Central Committee will meet today (Oct. 28) to discuss changes in the party apparatus, Polish state television announced. The meeting coincides with a one-hour warning strike by the 10 million members of the independent Solidarity union to protest the food shortage and government measures it has branded as a threat to the union.
