In an Oct. 21 story on the Transportation page, it was reported that Nissan was increasing the engine size of the 1982-model Datsun 310 from 2 liters to 2.2 liters. The car designation should have read the 200SX, not the 310.

Also, in an earlier story on the new Peugeot 505 turbodiesel, the car was inadvertently referred to as the 604. The 505 turbodiesel is priced at $12,980 and the 604 turbodiesel at $19,595. They are intended to appeal to different audiences entirely.

The Peugeot 505 turbodiesel is a sporty car compared to the more luxurious, stately 604. We regret both these errors.

Why is Christian Science in our name?

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

The Church publishes the Monitor because it sees good journalism as vital to progress in the world. Since 1908, we’ve aimed “to injure no man, but to bless all mankind,” as our founder, Mary Baker Eddy, put it.

Here, you’ll find award-winning journalism not driven by commercial influences – a news organization that takes seriously its mission to uplift the world by seeking solutions and finding reasons for credible hope.
