Stock market prices slip with recession outlook

Stock market prices fell sharply Monday in early trading on Wall Street amid concern by investors that the economic recession might be deeper and longer than they thought.

The Dow Jones industrial average slid more than 13 points to 842.56 during afternoon trading.
