Numbers, quality gaining in US military enlistments

More people are enlisting in the US armed forces - more this year than in any year since the draft ended in 1973. President Reagan says that means the all-volunteer force is working. But a top Pentagon official said the gain of 320,000 personnel over the past year doesn't mean an end to draft registration.
