Office supply sales booming

The office supply industry is reaping reams of dollars, reports Purchasing World magazine. The industry is doing all it can to keep up with the demands of businesses for ribbons, discs, copier paper, microcassettes, and print elements. A survey reported in the magazine predicts the industry will reach sales of $6.8 billion by 1985, with specific areas slated for rapid growth.

Typewriter and word-processing ribbon sales will quadruple over the next four years from $305.7 million to $1.1 billion, the magazine reports.
