Aerospace Force touted as new name for USAF

Rep. Kenneth B. Kramer (R) of Colorado wants to rename the Air Force the ''Aerospace Force,'' and he also is seeking to establish a separate space command, Monitor correspondent Stephen Webbe reports.

Mr. Kramer will announce legislation for this Dec. 7, the 40th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. ''If we do not accelerate our military space program, I am afraid we run the risk of being 'Pearl Harbor-ed,' '' he said.
