Interest in solar homes

To the real estate editor: Interest in solar homes certainly is strong. Since you printed my letter Sept. 4, which offered details about the solar-envelope design of my house, I have mailed literature to more than 213 inquirers; and I'm still receiving requests.

The mail came from Cape Porpoise, Maine, to Puunene, Hawaii, to Saskatoon, Sask., to St. Petersburg, Fla. Clergymen, PhDs, a state house legislator, and housewives - all sent their stamped envelopes and received some (hopefully) helpful new ideas about residential solar heating.

My thanks go to everyone who took the time to write. Steven F. Walton, Rochester, Mich.
