McEnroe, Evert Lloyd top world tennis rankings

John McEnroe and Chris Evert Lloyd top the men's and women's world tennis rankings for 1981 announced by Tennis magazine. Swedish player Bjorn Borg ranked No. 2, and Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl of Czechoslovakia tied for third place.

Among the top-ranked women, Tracy Austin scored second, Martina Navratilova of Czechoslovakia third, fellow Czech Hana Mandlikova fourth, and young Andrea Jaeger fifth.
