More people detained in coup attempt in Dominica

Police said they had detained three more people, bringing to 12 the number taken into custody following the abortive Dec. 19 attempt to unseat the government of Prime Minister Eugenia Charles.

Two Saturdays ago armed masked men launched simultaneous attacks against police headquarters and the island's main prison just outside Roseau, but were beaten off by police.

Reuters reported that the dispatch was submitted to official censors and was returned with nearly half of the original story deleted.
