Libyan 'hit squad' reports unconfirmed - FBI chief

Reports of a Libyan ''hit squad'' in the United States have never been confirmed, FBI Director William Webster admitted in an ABC-TV interview. And while he acknowledged the reports could have been planted to make US officials look silly, he says the agency had enough information to require taking the ''appropriate investigative steps.''
