US to pay 60% of force for Sinai peacekeeping

The United States will foot much of the bill for a multinational peacekeeping force in the Sinai. The US will pay $120 million, while Egypt and Israel will pay $40 million each toward the force, which is due to patrol the desert peninsula after Israel's final withdrawal in April.
