Reagan may set up panel to attack drunken driving

President Reagan told Transportation Department officials he may set up a special commission to design a swift and strong program to curb highway slaughter by drunken drivers.

While Mr. Reagan did not officially announce the formation of such a unit at the meeting, deputy press secretary Larry Speakes told reporters afterward that he expects Reagan to create a commission to attack the problem.
