Begin wins backing on pullout in Sinai

Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin's coalition government easily survived a no-confidence motion on its handling of the handover of Sinai to Egypt and Defense Minister Ariel Sharon said the Army would start evicting Jewish squatters from the territory today (March 3). The no-confidence challenge was introduced by the ultranationalist Tehiya Party.
