Soviets and Afghans kill Afghan rebels inside Iran

Soviet and Afghan troops intruded three miles into Iran and killed up to 50 Afghan rebels, authoritative sources said. The sources said an Afghan government helicopter gunship was shot down during the battle, which took place at the point where the borders of Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan meet. It was not known if Iranian troops or Afghan rebels shot down the helicopter.
