West Germany stands unequivocally on Britain's side in the Falklands crisis, Chancellor Helmut Schmidt said in an interview with the newspaper Die Zeit.
Mr. Schmidt said Argentina's occupation of the Falklands was clearly in breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, and West Germany supported the UN Security Council decision to condemn Argentina's action.
